We are so excited to be offering Roar VBS this summer!
What is 'VBS'?
VBS -- Vacation Bible School -- is a fun-filled week where kids in Primary - Grade 6 can uniquely learn about God.
What will happen at VBS?
Campers will gather together as a group for the welcome, and then they'll be arranged into smaller groups also known as 'crews.'
The crews will participate at different stations throughout the morning learning about God through interactive stories and activities.
After lunch, campers will come back together to participate in larger games and adventures.
When is VBS happening?
VBS runs from July 2-5, 2019.
Our programming will run for the full day (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.), but half days are also an option.
What does VBS cost?
VBS is free, but campers are required to bring a lunch. (We'll be serving one snack.)
We look forward to seeing you ROAR. Be prepared to send your kids on a wild adventure!
Who: Kids from Primary - Grade 6
When: July 2-5, 2019 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
Where: West End Baptist Church, 1986 Preston Street, Halifax, NS
|West End to host Alpha starting March 19
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.
Each session looks at a different question, and is designed to create conversation. No two Alphas look the same–they run in coffee shops, churches, bars, prisons, universities, schools and homes.
There’s no pressure, no follow-up and no charge; it’s just an open, informal, and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.
What to expect
Whether it’s a group of friends gathered around a kitchen table, or a quick catch-up over coffee, food has a way of bringing people together. It’s no different at Alpha. All sessions start with food, because it’s a great way to connect, relax and build friendships.
How can I find out more?
We look forward to seeing you there! (Feel free to bring a friend.)
Join other parents and caretakers on Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m.
for the West End Wee Ones Playgroup, a drop-in program for babies,
preschoolers, and their parents and caretakers.

Kidzone is our teaching and worship time for children.
We want to give children a positive experience of church. We teach them how to have a relationship with Jesus, to learn Biblical truths, and to put their faith into practice in their daily lives.
NOTE: All Kidzone workers are screened for safety.
Our nursery is open during our morning service.
Miss Donna, our nursery coordinator, cares for our little treasures each week with the help of our volunteers. When you leave your child(ren) in the nursery, you are provided with a pager so that you can be contacted if needed.
Audio of the morning service is available in the nursery
If you feel more comfortable keeping your child(ren) with you during the service, our Kid Zone 2.0 space, located at the back of the sanctuary, has a selection of toys and activities.
The children will be going on an adventure with puppets, Ponder and Ryan, in Noah's Park Adventures. There'll be Bible stories, games, crafts, and songs to sing. They'll learn about how God loves them and they can love others.
The children will be learning about friendships, self-esteem, and God's love. Bible stories, fun games, crafts, and songs will help the children connect with Jesus, Bible truths, and learn to put their faith into action.
