We have a partner church in Katowice, Poland, that is involved in ministering to many Ukrainians on a daily basis, so we decided to raise funds that could assist our sisters and brothers in Poland.

West End Baptist Church can trace its roots back to a missionary vision in a private home on Chestnut Street in October 1885. The church has been a valued partner with the Quinpool Road community and beyond since its inception.
According to the New Testament, the early Church was, at its best, a family that cares for one another (Acts 2:43-47).
At West End Baptist, we strive to model that same concern for each other and for the people of Halifax.
The story of our faith is found in the Bible, which points to Jesus’ death and resurrection as the most important events in history.

While first and foremost we identify as Christians, our specific tradition is Baptist. As such, we have partnered with other Baptists on the East Coast, in Canada, and around the World.

Based on recommendations from the Province of Nova Scotia and other sources regarding the coronavirus (Covid-19), the Deacons and Trustees for West End Baptist Church have decided to suspend Sunday worship services and other programs until further notice.
