Rev. Nolan Lee has been our pastor here since October 2008. He came here with his wife Pam from Toronto. They have been blessed with two daughters.
Nolan gives a brief story of his life:
Born in Montreal, raised as second of two children (raised in Toronto and Oakville)
Came to church with parents who were both active in serving their church (Toronto Chinese Baptist Church and Mississauga Chinese Baptist Church)
Began to deepen faith and pursue Christ as a teenager.
Was baptized in 1986 at Toronto Chinese Baptist Church
Spent 5 years at Queen’s university graduated from 2 programs: Engineering and History
While at university actively involved with Inter-Varsity Christian fellowship
Spent 1 year living in L’Arche Community in Stratford, Ontario
Went back to university to complete my Masters of Engineering. Graduated in 1994.
Worked for 2 years as an Environmental and Process Engineer
Enrolled 1996 for ministry training. Graduated 1999 MDIV.(McMaster Divinity College)
Served Toronto Chinese Baptist Church 1999 – 2008 as Associate Pastor serving the English speaking congregation. Ordained in 2002.
Met his future wife Pam who was also part of the pastoral staff (Cantonese Ministry). They were married in 2003.
God has been very gracious; and looking back I can sense very strongly the hand of God directing and guiding my life. My family and I are excited to be in Halifax and love our community.
